:D

See this smile? That's the way I look anytime I look at the earrings I did with the glass beads I did! Confusing? Not really... Just take a look at this post.
The pictures aren't really anything special, but it was what I was able to shoot...

I keep my promises

So, as I promised yesterday, I'm showing another thing I like to do: painting plaster.
It's a thing I don't do often, because the pieces can't be used in our daily life. It's only when I want to give a certain gift, usually to children, that I paint plaster. Angels are my favourite subject. That's why I've only got these two pieces.

By the way...

Happy Halloween!

Almost a week later...

...here I am with lots of things to show!

To start with, here's one of my favourite magazines: PaperWorks! It's a pitty it's so expensive (€8.20!)... And hard to find... And when you're not able to find it, the people in the news stands don't want to ask the editors or publishers for the previous numbers...
This one, is not, definitely, one of their best covers...

New felt designs:

1) a pouch that can be used to carry the PostCrossing postcards to be put in the mail! Or for any other purpose...
2) and key-rings with embroidered initials. I just loved how it turned out! I won't be able to stop until I do the whole alphabet!
And for something completly different, recycling, candle holders to use burnt CDs . I think it's very nice; I tried with a candle and the reflection of light creates a very nice effect.
And I'll leave the rest for tomorow, the blogger is showing some signs of being tired!
Now, only to leave you with your mouth watering...plaster...earrings...

Here's the result of a few hours' work

yesterday and today. The colours aren't very clear, but I liked what it turned out. I've just discovered the felt has beautiful and very immediate results! I'll be showing the new projects.

Back to crafts...

... to show you that a can also do cross stitch and crochet.

And I let you with Amy's link, with whom I made a Halloween Swap. I think she liked what I've sent her... I haven't received my package yet, and I don't know who is it from... I'm so anxious!

Marmelade

Today I spent the afternoon doing marmelade. Here it is. Looks good, doesn't it?

Last postcard

There, I've received my last postcard from Postcard Swap! It's from Anne from Canada and it's a sort of an homage to vintage knitting magazines.
She also says she enjoys reading my blog... Thank you, Anne!

Correction: Anna

Well, well, well...

...lots of days without a word, hem?... Did you miss me? Say yes, say no, but please, say something! This lack of feed-back is killing me!

Since you're at it tell me another thing: have you had any difficulty seeing my images? It's just that today I finally had the chance to see this blog on another computer, and a lot of pictures had disappeared... I hope this is a one time problem, because if not I don't know how to solve it...

I've received another postcard (1 yet to come) from the Postcard Swap of Swap-Bot, from Adam, who made me an honorary fan of Kansas State University! Go State, go!
Adam... "Hola!" is Spanish... In Portuguese we say: Olá

Same subject, Rachel and Amy have already received the gorgeous (!) postcards I sent them. Still, there are 3 people who didn't...

Still the same subject, postcards, this time though, PostCrossing; "tanteposte" (it's her nick) posted my postcard (a reply to her postcard) in her blog dedicated to postcrossing.

These days have been occupied packing my "products". See if I can make some money...

Swaps

Some time ago, I signed up for this swap. I always forget to spread the word... but I think you'll have other chances. This postcard swap was to test the system. Besides, I think they "host" other swaps.

This was my first postcard. I received it on Friday but I wasn't in the mood for posting...
It's from Melanie and it came from New York (though I think Melanie it's not from there!).

I received these two today.
From Lisa, of New York, a photo she took in Arizona. I just loved it! I think it's amazing!

This one came from Chelsea, from..???... I couldn't find out from where! This one is my favourite, 'cause it was handmade.

I still have two more to come!

Look what I've made!

Aren't they gorgeous? Yesterday I done an intensive course, I've even got a diploma! I've been looking for a teacher for a while, but I couldn't find one... I had decided that I would try for myself, eventually, but I was hoping for better (money) times to order the material on the internet. When I was searching, I've found that there was a teacher here in Portugal! I was so happy!... Thank God and my parents (I know they don't read the blog, but even so I want to thak them very, very, very much!!!!!!!!) I was able to attend the course. I JUST LOVED IT! And this was the result.

I posted both pictures because although the first one has a better light and the colours are more real, the second one shows the details better.

Unfortunately, now I must wait until I can buy the material and try again all the colours, forms and ideas!... But I know I can do them, and for now that is enough.
